Born in Honolulu, Hawaii. 1986 / Grown in Busan / Lives & Works in Seoul, South Korea
Kang is a multi-disciplinary artist with diverse backgrounds in art and design. She has a BFA in Interior Design and MDes in Glass Craft & Design and also worked as a lighting designer in an architectural lighting design company. Based on her thesis study of the graduate program, the social engaging art studio she started with her partner in 2014 was supported by government grants. As an artist-in-residency with support from Seoul City, she recorded and archived local information, produced local-based visual materials, and conducted various regional projects through collaboration with local manufacturers and traders.
